As I read this book I find that Jerry West is very bland. The man never goes into great detail about anything at all as shown in the statement "I couldn't wait to climb the steep Alleghenies (part of the Appalachian range) and hike around the woods like an explorer...)

If Jerry West were to be put in my shoes, I have no doubts that he would do just fine. I have everyday problems just like everyone else but they are nothing compared to what West had to deal with in his childhood and young adult hood and still even today as an adult.

Jerry West  was born in 1938, which makes him roughly 74 years old today. My personal opinion is that he has at least another twenty years left in him. That leads me to saying that our future is still his future.

To make a movie out of this book would be very difficult because the actor playing Jerry West would have to be perfect. The first movie comparrison I think of is The Blind Side, which depicts the life of the Baltamore Ravens offensive tackle Micheal Oher. Oher was upset after the movie came out because he thought it depicted him as a very stupid young man. My point is that no actor, no matter who it is, can truely immitate the life struggles someone like this goes through.
This book is a biography so the only character that it really follows is Jerry West himself. Do I hate him? No. I feel bad for him. The man was brought up without any special treatments in his life and worked and scaped for everything that he recieved.  The NBA logo was created from the sillouette of Jerry West. This shows that the league embrassed him and wantedf him to respresent it. Such a great honor for a man who couldn't deserve it more.

I apologize to everyone who read my first blog. It was not me at all. Sydney judge needs to get away from me. My first section of the book was way more informative than I expected it to be. This goes deep into the life of Jerry "the Logo" West who was a great superstar for the Los Angles Lakers through the 80's. This man should've had an amazing life but instead he was tormented byt haunting memories of his past that I am still getting in to.
Well this book is pretty amazing. It's about basketball and the tallest man in the world, so it's pretty interesting. He was an MVP of the NBA finals and an Olympic Gold Metal winner. He's kind of my idol. SO yeah wicki excited to read this YAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYYA <3 <3
